INANNA:   Trending!   Who's Peter Shaffer? NINSHUBAR:   He wrote "Equus" and "Amadeus."   Why do you ask? INANNA:   He just died too.   Ninety years old!   Not bad for a human. The Many Names of JJB.

When I was four years old, I honestly believed I was Mighty Mouse. Mighty Mouse was my hero.  He had his own theme song.  Other heroes had catchphrases or leitmotifs, but Mighty Mouse had a full blown theme song. We're not worrying at all, We're just listening for his call... HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAY! That means that Mighty Mouse is on the way! Yes sir, when there is a wrong to right, Mighty Mouse will join the fight! On the sea, or on the land, He has the situation well in hand! On my way to nursery school, I would try to leave the house with a red towel trailing from my neck.   My mom would gently remove it despite my pouting and shoo me away to school. Other kids would pretend to be other superheroes, Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, Captain America, The Flash.  I would proudly say, "I'M MIGHTY MOUSE!"  The other kids would groan, roll their eyes, and leave me alone. Eve of the Solstice.

I woke up this morning at 4 am and I'm waiting to doze off on the couch at any moment.  I feel fully lucid and there is no "buzz" in my head.  Suze is home with me as she has a paid day off from her job.  While she prepared egg and turkey sausage omlettes, I ensconced myself in my office.  With all the lights out except for the Galaxy Core star projector, I sat cross legged on my Cosmic Carpet and played the digital guru on my phone.  I closed my eyes.  The only light I could see from my closed eyes  was the faint  change of color from red to green to blue to purple in a slow cycle. The instructor said the exercise if the day was the giving of love and expecting nothing in return.  We began with those we loved closely.  The mantra was, "May you be whole, may you be healthy, may you be happy."   I thought of my beloved Susan.  I smile instinctively appeared on my face.  My arms and hands, which were slack for meditatio...
